A moisture meter allows you to quickly and easily read if you need to water. Ideal for pots, flower beds and "critical" places in the garden.
Many times the soil is dry on the surface due to evaporation but moist further down in the pot, and the pot does not need more water. Don't guess! - just insert the needle into the soil to 3/4 of the depth of the pot, and the meter will show the soil moisture.
