Cherry tomato 'Tiger' F1

Tasty tomato that can be stored for a while in the kitchen. Has a thick, beautiful skin and a lot of flesh, which makes it suitable for cooking. Best variety to dry in oven. Very rich in the antioxidant Lycopene. Should be grown in a greenhouse in cooler climates. Thrives in nutritious, well-drained soil. Water regularly. The plant needs support. The shoots in the leaf folds, "suckers", are removed.

Important this is an indeterminate tomato variety. Indeterminates can be grown in a GreenStalk by experienced gardeners, but are not recommended for beginners. We have included Tiger F1 in our assortment for it's good qualities, but if you are not an experienced gardener please choose a smaller determinate tomato for growing in a GreenStalk.

Pre-cultivation: March - mid April. Sow 8-10v before planting out, lowest night temp +8°C. Use seed soil. Keep moist, cover with plastic or place in mini-greenhouse, approx. 18-21°C. After emergence, bright and cooler. Extra lighting for early sowing. When the plants can be handled, put 1/pot in fertilized soil. Replant to larger pot as needed.
