Grow Towers warmly recommends adding coir to your potting mix when filling your GreenStalk vertical planter! Mixing in cocopeat provides an airy soil mix that is  necessary for the GreenStalk watering function to work at it's best.

We like it for its ability to hold and release water, acting like a sponge to absorb and retain water in periods of heavy rain, and releasing it again as the soil dries out - helping to maintain a consistent moisture level in the soil.

Adding coir to the potting mix also helps to bring oxygen down to the roots, by helping maintain balance between water retention and aeration capacity and thus avoid problems such as rotting due to excess humidity and reduces water stress on hot Summer days.

The Romberg coir swell soil consists of crushed and pressed coconut fibers. It has a high air permeability and ensures a good plant growth. Suitable for all plant species, can be used year-round.

A pressed coir fibre brick which will give you 7-8 litres of ready to use substrate after adding 4 litres of water.

The coir substrate is a natural product that is made from 100% renewable raw materials.

How to use: Fill a bucket with 4 litres of water. Let the coco brick soak it up. Stir after a few minutes. Add the substrate to your normal potting soil.
