Cucumber 'Iznik' F1

Cucumis sativus

Good, crunchy, high yielding mini cucumber with a smooth skin and no seeds. Perfect for growing in a large pot in a sheltered position. Water regularly. Compact growth habit for a cucumber but will need to be tied up with a few stakes. Top at the right height to encourage side shoots. Does not need to be pollinated. Harvest often, don't let the cucumbers get bigger than 10cm.

Pre-cultivation: April - May. 4-6 weeks before planting out. Sow 1 seed/pot (2/3 fertilized soil, 1/3 seed soil on top). Keep moist. Set warm for germination, 25°C. After germination place in a light place at room temperature. Harden off before planting out at night temp. above 5°C. The root neck is sensitive to moisture! Be sure to plant so that the neck is no deeper than in the original pot.

Location: Greenhouse preferred, or a very sunny, very sheltered spot

Spacing: 50cm / 1 plant per GreenStalk pocket (and no closer than every other pocket)
