Fennel 'Preludio' F1
Fennel 'Preludio' F1
Foeniculum vulgare
Crispy and compact fennel with a taste reminiscent of licorice. Thrives in a sunny location. Excellent with fish dishes and the seeds also work well as a bread spice.
Pre-cultivation: April to mid-May. Sow sparsely in moistened seedbed. Transplant when the plants are large enough to handle, one per pot, in fertilized soil. Place in a bright and cool place. Plant out after frost. Fennel is very sensitive to frost, so cover it with a non-woven fabric.
Direct sowing: May to mid-June. Direct sow fennel in warm soil and keep the seeds moist until the seeds germinate. Cover with risk for frost.
