A colourful mixture of small plants and pretty flowers in the colours pink, white, salmon, violet and red-orange. They are particularly suitable as pretty bed borders and as balcony plants in hanging baskets and pots. Stunning planted en masse.
Busy Lizzie flowers profusely even in a shady location, making it very rewarding to grow. Withstands a rainy and cold summer but is very sensitive to frost. Great in containers. Thrives on well-fertilized loamy soil, water abundantly. Pinch out for bushy plants.
Pre-cultivation: March - mid April. Sow sparsely on moistened seed soil. Do not cover with soil, but preferably with vermiculite. Keep the seed moist and place in light, 18 - 20°C. Germination time 14-21 days. Replant into 1 plant/pot with fertilized soil when large enough to handle. Place in a light and cool place.
