Petunia 'Pretty Garden' mix
Petunia 'Pretty Garden' mix
Petunia x hybrida
Popular and colorful summer flower that flowers all summer. Suitable to have in balcony boxes and containers. Robust plant that thrives in sun to partial shade in porous, nutrient-rich soil. Fertilize regularly after planting out and during the season.
Pre-cultivation: 10-12 weeks before expected last frost (March-April). Petunias are heat-loving plants and need at least 10 weeks of pre-cultivation to grow strong before being planted outside.
Sow sparsely on moistened seed-starting soil. Do not cover with soil - petunias need light and warmth to germinate. Provide light and keep warm (24 C), moist and cover with plastic. Replant to 1 plant/pot with fertilized soil. Place in a light and cool place. Additional lighting produces plumper plants, adjust lighting to 15cm above the plants as they grow. For bushier plants, pinch back 1-2 weeks after transplanting.
Very sensitive to frost, don't plant out too early!
