Helianthus annuus

Brilliant sunny yellow sunflower, suitable for growing in pots. The variety produces a low plant with fine branching and many early 10cm flowers. Beautiful in larger pots and in the flower bed. Easy and rewarding to pre-cultivate for early flowering. After flowering, decorative seed pods are formed which are used as everlasting flowers.

Attracts pollinators.

A sunflower as a cut flower lasts about 5-8 days in a vase if you change the water every day.

Pre-cultivation: No later than April - it takes about 55-65 days from sowing to flowering.
Fill the pot with 2/3 fertilized potting soil and the rest seed soil. Sow 1-2 seeds/pot in the moistened seed soil and place at 15-18 degrees C. Set at room temp. Keep moist. Save 1 plant/pot, pinch the rest. Set bright and cooler. Water and nourish. Plant out after frost.

Direct sowing: May - June. Water the sowing area before sowing. Keep the seed moist until the seeds germinate.

Germination time: 5-15 days

Location: Full sun, well-drained location

Height: 35cm
