Medium-early variety of medium height. The Hamik sweet pepper is an award-winning snack pepper known for being extremely sweet, juicy, and aromatic, often described as having a fruity flavor. The small, bright orange peppers have a thick, crunchy flesh and are nearly seedless, making them ideal for eating raw, in salads, or stuffed. Can be used fresh, canned, fried, steamed.
Cultivated outdoors and in greenhouses. Outdoor cultivation requires fertile soil, sunny areas, places protected from the winds.
Sweet pepper fruits are rich in carbohydrates, minerals, in particular, potassium and vitamin P, C, B group, E vitamins.
The best temperature for germination of pepper seeds is + 22-25°C. Seeds germinate within 14-22 days. Seedlings are planted in a field after frost. Grown outdoors in an area protected from the wind, in sunny place and fertile soil.
Pre-cultivation: Mid-Feb to March. Sow in moistened soil. Keep moist, cover with plastic or put in mini greenhouse. Set warm for germination, 20°C. After emergence, bright and cooler. Use additional lighting for early sowing. When the plants are big enough to handle, put 1 plant/pot in fertilized soil. Pinch off the plant at 15 cm height.
