Petunia Grandiflora Černý´s Triumph

Petunia hybrida grandiflora superbissima nana

Big, full flowers (~16 cm) with frilled petals in an eye-catching mix of lavender, pink, purple and plum, . Blooms in abundance and for long periods. Suitable in flower gardens, balconies, and containers. Seeds are small germinate within 17–20 days, at the temperature of +18–20 °C. Seedlings are pricked and planted on, do not plant too close (en plant/pocket if growing in a GreenStalk vertical planter). Thrives in light, porous soil. Feed regularly.

Seeds are coated with a well adhering mix of organic and mineral fertilizers. When germinating, do not cover with substrate, only lightly press into the soil surface. To make seeds germinate, the soil surface must be constantly moist.

Growing petunia from seed requires extra care. If you are a beginner at growing from seed you may want to allow yourself a season or two to become comfortable with the basics before tackling those that need a bit more attention early in the process.

Pre-cultivation:  10-12 weeks before expected last frost (March-April).  Petunias are heat-loving plants and need at least 10 weeks of pre-cultivation to grow strong before being planted outside.

Sow sparsely on moistened seed-starting soil. Do not cover with soil - petunias need light and warmth to germinate. Proide light and keep warm (24 C), moist and cover with plastic. Replant to 1 plant/pot with fertilized soil. Place in a light and cool place. Additional lighting produces plumper plants, adjust lighting to 15cm above the plants as they grow. For bushier plants, pinch back 1-2 weeks after transplanting.
