Dwarf chrysanthemum mix
Dwarf chrysanthemum mix
Callistephus chinensis
Low and bushy chrysanthemum with large, double flowers in mixed colors. Very suitable in borders and as an autumn flower in containers on the balcony. Good cut flower. Deadhead wilted flowers for continued flowering. Thrives in well-fertilized, well-drained soil. Water abundantly. Change the cultivation site/change soil in pots every year to avoid fungal attacks.
Pre-cultivation: Mid March - April. Sow sparsely in moist soil. Cover thinly, preferably with vermiculite. Allow to germinate at 18-22°C. After emergence, place bright and cooler. When the plants are big enough to handle, put 1/pot in fertilized potting soil. Plant out after the last frost.
Direct sowing: May. Water in the seedbed before sowing. Keep the seed moist. Pre-cultivation is recommended.
