Tomato 'Mrs. Bacon'
Tomato 'Mrs. Bacon'
Solanum lycopersicum
The 'Mrs. Bacon' tomato is a high-yielding, medium-sized stake tomato whose fruits ripen medium-late in a beautiful yellow. The fruits are round and can weigh up to 100g. Their taste is somewhat reminiscent of fried bacon. The plants are well suited for outdoor cultivation and are easy to care for.
Important this is an indeterminate tomato variety. Indeterminates can be grown in a GreenStalk by experienced gardeners, but are not recommended for beginners. We have included Mrs Bacon in our assortment in a fit of whimsy, as one of us is a vegetarian of 20 years who still longs for the flavour of a BLT sandwich from time to time - when we caught sight of Mrs Bacon we just had to give it a try! If you are not an experienced gardener please choose a smaller determinate tomato for growing in a GreenStalk.
