Tasty and beautiful red-colored version of pointed cabbage. Crisp, well-shaped heads that are harvested when the head is well developed. Very good in salads or easily mixed in wedges. Thrives in clayey, loamy and well-drained soil. Water when dry. Frost-resistant in autumn.
Pointed cabbage is also known as hispi cabbage, hearted cabbage and sweetheart cabbage.
Pre-cultivation: April to mid June. Sow 4-6 weeks before planting out. Sow on moistened seed soil. Cover thinly with soil. Keep moist. Set warm (+22°C). After emergence, bright and cooler. When the plants are big enough to handle, place 1/pot in fertilized soil. Harden off before planting.
Direct sowing: April - mid June. Can be sown directly when soil temp. is at least +5°C, but pre-cultivation is recommended.
