Cauliflower 'Snowball'
Cauliflower 'Snowball'
Brassica oleracea
Cauliflower 'Snowball' is a superb heritage variety, first bred in America in the 1890`s. The pure white, snowball-sized heads have a mild flavour and can be harvested when small, 5cm or left to mature to 15cm. Due to its dwarf size it is a perfect cauliflower to grow in the garden.
Rich in vitamin C, vitamin K and folate, and a good source of B-complex vitamins, manganese, phosphorus, and fiber and contains small amounts of protein, potassium and magnesium.
Tip! Cauliflower curds may "yellow" if they receive too much sun, rain, or frost. Secure the plants` long leaves over the cauliflower heads to insure beautiful white heads.
