Flowers also work well in a GreenStalk and the Original size lets you grow flowers with deeper roots. Calendula and bush cress, for example are a nice element in any vegetable garden. The flowers make a beautiful and colorful garnish and the leaves of the cress are yummy on a sandwich. In addition, both give off a strong scent that aphids detest. Beneficial insects like weevils and ladybugs on the other hand, do not mind the scent - on the contrary they are attracted to the flowers.
For growing leafy greens, herbs and smaller flowers and root vegetables, the GreenStalk Leaf Vertical Planter with shallower pockets is available with five or seven growing levels.
